Karri Fire.
Karri Fire House has been publicised extensively throughout Australia and globally, for the innovative use of materials and bushfire design features. Designed for a professional fire fighter and his wife, it has been made using non-combustible materials, which exceeded the fire rating required.
The simplicity of the floor plan was curated for the family so that it would adapt and flex over time and lifecycles. Fluid but private connections between inside and outside, allow the client to experience the closeness of the forest that encumbers this daring forever house.
Karri Fire House was awarded a Commendation Award at the State Architecture Awards, by the Australian Institute of Architects.
