Nornalup.
Nornalup House is designed as a holiday home on the river, and situated in a dense Karri forest. It is intended as a place that owners can reside in the summer months in close proximity to the highly diverse vegetation on site.
The house was designed using a ‘ground up’ approach, where the architects followed a detailed topographical survey and collaborated with local botanists. The minimalist brief is expressed in the floor plan, with very little circulation, adapting to include the veranda as living space.
